Matt Dougherty currently serves as a Special Agent, Criminal Investigation Division, with the Internal Revenue Service. He has served in that position since 1987. Matt has worked administrative and grand jury investigations in the areas of laundering of monetary instruments, white collar criminal conspiracies, narcotics conspiracies, income tax evasion and false returns cases, bank secrecy act violations, bank and wire fraud, mortgage fraud related violations, and forfeiture action based on these types of criminal activities. Through the course of his career Matt has worked many cases jointly with multiple agencies including state and local law enforcement, and our federal law enforcement partners.
