Cara Steele is a Criminal Intelligence Analyst, assigned to the Keizer Police Detectives Unit. She is primarily responsible for conducting regular analysis of crime incident data to identify current and future crime trends or patterns for the purpose of directed patrols. She collects and compiles criminal intelligence information and researches, analyzes, evaluates and correlates criminal intelligence information in order to develop investigative leads and links. She provides analytical support to include link charting, phone toll analysis, timelines and other forms of visual analysis. Cara is a Fusion Liaison Officer at the Oregon Titan Fusion Center, HART member, a Director on the Rain board, a certified CopLink instructor and a member of SWIFT. Cara is a fifteen year crime analyst veteran who has worked for Temple, TX Police, Salem Police and Keizer Police. Cara has provided training on a plethora of law enforcement software applications and has taught intelligence gathering techniques to law enforcement professionals across the state.
