Kurt Charlton served as a Special Agent with IRS - Criminal Investigation (CI) for 25 years, assigned to Las Vegas, Nevada; Medford, Oregon; and Portland, Oregon. During his tenure with CI, Kurt investigated income tax fraud, money laundering and currency crimes, and related forfeitures. He also participated in numerous joint investigations involving fraud and narcotics violations. Kurt promoted to Supervisory Special Agent in Portland in 2004 and retired from CI July 1, 2008. Currently, he works as a contract employee assigned to the Asset Recovery and Money Laundering Division at the US Attorney’s Office, District of Oregon. In this position, Kurt assists with financial and forfeiture investigations presented to the US Attorney’s Office.
