Cheryl Waddell is a Detective with the Portland Police Bureau’s White Collar crime detail.

Cheryl Waddell is a Detective with the Portland Police Bureau’s White Collar crime detail.  She specializes in financial crimes and Intellectual Property cases.  Detective Waddell believes in a collaborative approach to criminal investigations, through the development of strong partnerships with law enforcement agencies as well as community partners to investigate and prosecute crimes.  Detective Waddell has been recognized with numerous awards.  Most  recently she was awarded the Portland Police Bureau’s Achievement Medal for creating, securing federal funding for  and managing a multi-agency Task Force dedicated to the targeting, investigation and prosecution of Intellectual Property crimes.  Cheryl has developed strong connections with community and law enforcement partners as a member of the Metro Area Fraud Investigators Association (MAFIA), Northwest Organized Crime Association (NWOrCA), and the IRS’s SAR review team.  She also regularly attends the Social Security Working group meetings.  Cheryl has 19 years of law enforcement experience.  She earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from California State University Fullerton.
